I am being taught skills that will benefit me for years to come.”

Since starting YA-TaiChi 12 Steps™ in March 2026, I have experienced meaningful improvement in my balance, body awareness, and confidence in daily life. After living with Menière’s disease for 20 years and undergoing an aggressive labyrinthectomy on July 1, 2025, balance became central to my recovery. YA-TaiChi 12 Steps™ has helped me not only physically, but also mentally.

What I find most valuable is that YA-TaiChi 12 Steps™ is not simply an exercise program — it teaches you how to move with awareness, control, and intention. My Master, whom I refer to as “Coach D,” has taught me movements I carry into everyday life, especially when I need to regain my balance or react to an unexpected loss of stability. His patience, knowledge, encouragement, and personal attention make the program truly special. I am being taught skills that will benefit me for years to come.
YA-TaiChi 12 Steps™ has helped me embrace daily challenges instead of letting them control me. After 20 years with this syndrome, I needed to learn to trust my body again. This program gave me practical tools not only to improve my balance, but to stay calm throughout the day, see life with positivism, and walk with grace. Coach D helped me see that my situation does not have to limit the way I live my life.

One of the most impactful parts has been realizing I can actually train my body to respond better to any challenge. After surgery, I had to learn a new way of living with poor balance. The movements Coach D taught me gave me hope and control — instead of simply worrying about falling, I learned strategies I can practice and use when I need them. That change in mindset has been very powerful.
Physically, I feel more aware of my body and more confident. Mentally and emotionally, I feel more empowered. Living with Menière’s for so many years can make you constantly aware of losing your balance. YA-TaiChi 12 Steps™ has helped me replace some of that fear with confidence. I have learned to accept my situation while actively working to improve it.
I am much more conscious of how I stand, walk, turn, and shift my weight. These movements have become part of my daily life rather than something I only practice in class. Most importantly, I feel more confident and less limited by my balance challenges, which allows me to enjoy my daily activities with a greater sense of freedom.

I initially wanted to improve my balance and better manage the physical challenges of Menière’s. I was looking for something to make me stronger and more stable, but I did not realize how much YA-TaiChi 12 Steps™ would change my life overall. It has exceeded my expectations. Coach D has given me much more than exercises — awareness, control, patience, and practical movements I use throughout my life. I am very grateful I found this program.
I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who wants to improve their balance, body awareness, focus, strength, and confidence. I would especially encourage anyone who feels a disability is limiting their life to give YA-TaiChi 12 Steps™ a chance. You can continue to work with your body and improve, even after significant challenges. Most of all, trust the process and trust the program. Coach D’s patience, encouragement, and dedication have made a tremendous difference.

I have been extremely impressed with Coach D’s teaching and support. He is patient, clear, and encouraging, focused on helping each person understand not only how to perform a movement, but why it matters. I never felt rushed or judged — only supported and encouraged to keep learning. He has a wonderful ability to make you feel that progress is possible, and that every small improvement is meaningful.
I would love to see the program continue to grow and reach more people who could benefit from it. My experience has been so positive that I want more people to understand how valuable YA-TaiChi 12 Steps™ can be — not only as exercise, but as a way of developing balance, awareness, confidence, and independence. I would also love to continue learning more movements and techniques, not only for balance, but for self-control, releasing stress, connecting with yourself, and facing each day positively and with grace.
I am very grateful to Coach D and for the dedication and care that have gone into creating this program. It has become an important part of my life.
